About this program
Curtin University's Master of Professional Engineering degree. The Master of Professional Engineering is a 2-year degree where graduates will meet the Stage 1 academic requirements for status as a professional engineer, subject to Engineers Australia accreditation. It develops high level technical and theoretical knowledge and skills with an industry focus and international perspective. Students will interact with highly regarded researchers through a combination of coursework and research based activities. Completion of this course will allow graduates to also apply for entry into a Doctoral degree. Master Degrees (Coursework) prepare students to apply advanced knowledge for professional practice, scholarship and further learning corresponding to AQF level 9 qualifications.

Admissions
Applicants require a 4-year Engineering degree from a recognised institution in the same discipline of study. Students who have completed the Graduate Diploma in Professional Engineering degree at Curtin will be considered to have met the above course requirement. Applicants for a Master Degree (Coursework) are required to meet University academic and English language entry standards; Subject to the duration of the course applicants usually require a Bachelor Degree or equivalent (and may require relevant work experience), Bachelor Honours Degree, Graduate Certificate or Graduate Diploma.
