Bachelor of Education (Honours)
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Education (Honours) trains undergraduate students directly into teaching across seven specialisations spanning early childhood, primary, secondary and combined pathways, including specific streams in health and physical education and inclusive and special education. Unlike the graduate-entry Master of Teaching, this degree is designed for school leavers heading straight into a teaching career, building the specific professional knowledge and teaching skills needed to engage students of different ages and developmental stages in subjects like the arts, English, mathematics, science and digital technologies. Professional experience placements across urban, rural, remote and international education settings run throughout the degree, giving students genuine exposure to different teaching contexts before graduation. It suits students who know from school that they want to become teachers and prefer an undergraduate pathway directly into the classroom, with specific specialisations for students already interested in special education, health and physical education, or combined primary and secondary teaching.
