Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Primary and Secondary Education
Monash University, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
Monash's Bachelor of Education (Honours) in Primary and Secondary Education is an undergraduate, dual-sector teaching qualification letting school leavers train to teach across both primary and secondary schools, one of seven specialisations under Monash's Bachelor of Education. The dual-sector structure means students build teaching knowledge and skills spanning both age ranges from the outset, offering genuinely broader career flexibility than a single-sector teaching degree once graduates enter a competitive job market. Professional experience placements across urban, rural, remote and international settings expose students to the practical differences between teaching young children and adolescents well before graduation. It suits school leavers who want to keep their teaching career options open across both primary and secondary schools rather than committing to one sector from day one of their degree, and reflects genuine demand from schools for teachers who can flex across year levels.
