Diploma in Languages
University of Melbourne, Melbourne, VIC, Australia
About this program
The Diploma in Languages at the University of Melbourne, one of five concurrent diplomas available to bachelor's degree students, lets students study one of 12 languages alongside their primary degree, with or without prior language training. Students complete a 100-point program through a proficiency-based progression sequence across three levels, with a mix of compulsory and elective subjects at each stage.
Melbourne is ranked 19th in the world for language study. Graduates gain oral, aural, writing and reading mastery comparable to a language major, alongside cultural understanding of the societies associated with their chosen language.
