About this program
The Graduate Diploma in Architectural Science at the University of Sydney builds toward the University's Building Performance and Sustainable Design program, developing breadth and depth in the disciplinary skills needed to address environmental challenges in the built environment sector. Students choose electives applying sustainable design theories and methods to architecture, urban planning, building performance or project management.
The course develops the technical, collaborative and cultural competencies needed to drive world-leading environmental outcomes in interdisciplinary teams. Graduates move into roles such as environmentally sustainable design consultant, sustainable design advisor and construction management specialist.

Admissions
Admission to the Graduate Diploma in Building Performance and Sustainable Design requires: a bachelor's degree from the University of Sydney, or an equivalent qualification; or completion of the requirements of the embedded graduate certificate with an average mark of at least 70. Graduate Diploma students may apply to upgrade to the Masters at the completion of their program.
