Graduate Diploma in Animation and Visual Effects

UNSW Sydney, Sydney, NSW, Australia

About this program

UNSW's Graduate Diploma in Animation and Visual Effects is a one-year, eight-course program building on the shorter Graduate Certificate with deeper skills and knowledge in animation and VFX, aimed at both people extending existing capabilities and career-changers transitioning into the field from another study area or profession. The diploma provides a genuine pathway into digital content creation careers directly, or into the Master of Animation and Visual Effects for students who want to continue with just one additional year of study. It suits people who found the shorter certificate too brief but don't necessarily need or want the full two-year master's commitment, giving them substantial animation and VFX training while keeping the master's pathway open if they later decide to continue.

Career & PR pathway

Which careers in Arts & Design lead to skilled migration depends on the occupation, not the degree title. See the skilled occupation lists guide for which occupations are on each list, and the points calculator to check where you stand.

Admissions
