About this program

The Australian Foundation Program is ICMS's stepping stone to higher education, offered through the Aspire Institute. It is designed for students who did not complete Year 12 (or equivalent) and would like entry into an Aspire Institute undergraduate Diploma program or an ICMS Bachelor degree, and is also suitable as an introductory program before a full diploma. Successful completion enables students to enter the first year of an ICMS Bachelor degree, or progress into an Aspire Institute diploma. The program has 10 modules covering English subjects and core business disciplines (Marketing, Mathematics for Business, Business Principles, Accounting, Economics, Computing, Law and Australian Cultural Studies) over 2 trimesters (8 months), delivered on-campus or online at Aspire's City Campus, Sydney.

Career & PR pathway

Which careers in Education lead to skilled migration depends on the occupation, not the degree title. See the skilled occupation lists guide for which occupations are on each list, and the points calculator to check where you stand.

Admissions

Aspire Institute's own Foundation Program entry-requirements page: academic entry requires the equivalent of Australian Year 11 (e.g. Chinese Gao Er/SM2 at 60%, Indian Standard XI/XII, GCE O-Level pass in 4 subjects, or BTEC National 3 Extended Certificate), assessed via the Department of Education's CEP tool. Students must also meet the English-language proficiency requirement below (or complete Aspire English study to reach it).
